What are the great Seattle, WA, fabric stores? Malden Mills has a store there but that's all I know.

Nancy's Sewing Basket on Queen Anne Hill is a must-see. Very nice fashion and special occasion fabrics, but also very expensive. Make sure you don't miss the ribbon room in the back - a whole room devoted to trims and ribbons of all kinds and colors. They also have a nice selection of buttons.
My sister isn't a fabricaholic, but she is a trimaholic and last time we went to Nancy's she wouldn't even go into the ribbon room because she knew she wouldn't be able to come out empty-handed.
If you sew outdoor gear, Seattle Fabrics is also a must-see.
I moved away from Seattle a couple years ago and didn't really get into sewing until after I left, so I'm not aware of all the fabric shops, but I am sure there are some more good ones. Hopefully someone else can provide more input.

I grew up in seattle and now live 10 minutes south.
Yes to Malden Mills and Nancy's Sewing Basket. Must go to with wonderful staff and selection. Don't forget to check the remnant by-the-pound at MM. Nancy's has a seperate room of delicious ribbons and buttons!
Also Designer FAbric Outlet in Tukwila (10 minutes south of Seattle) which is sorta hit and miss for me but carries some upscale fabrics which are leftover bolts. Excellent high quality slinky and lycras which the staff is very knowledgeable about. This is where I buy my elastic binding in several colors and whatever catches my eye. Fabric content is usually not marked on the bolt.
Pacific Fabric is an excellent choice with several locations...they do have a web site. The one in North Seattle is the best one in my opinion. There is also an outlet version just 4 or 5 blocks away from MM. It has an outlet atmosphere but not outlet prices.
If you like quilting cottons, In the Beginning Fabrics is located in North Seattle also. They have a site.
Thats all I can think off the top of my head. There really aren't alot around here.

els: you sure lived in a nice area! I loved so many different areas in Seattle and to see Malden Mills, Nancy's Sewing Basket (big trouble in the back ribbon room!
and SeattleFabrics. But ran out of time and didn't get to Pacific Fabrics, Designer Fabrics, nor In The Beginning. Guess I'll have to go back. Such beautiful country, too.
