I am making one of those tummy bands for pregnant ladies for my daughter. I bought black ribbing because I could not find here any other super stretchy fabric in black, what she wanted. Now my problem is how am I going to hem this thing neatly??

I would just serge the edges and skip the hem.

If you wait for the perfect time to start, you'll never start.

Well, she probably would like the hems to be as non-bulky as possible. If using a serger, I would just finish the edges with a 3thread overlock, as it has more stretch than a 4thread overlock. If you'll be using your SM, just turn up the raw edge the amount you desire and hem with a slightly longer zigzag stitch, as the knit's raw edge should not ravel.
Just an aside, many rib knits stretch with the body rather than compress the body underneath. So, don't be too disappointed if your particular rib knit doesn't hold your DD's tummy in as she'd like. If this happens, on your next try, search for a smooth knit fabric with a high lycra content - maybe even a girdle or body shaper type fabric.
Regrettably, I can't recommend an online source, but perhaps other PR members can.
