I absolutely love all things vintage, especially patterns and clothing. I've noticed a lot of people on sites like Ebay are selling tons of vintage patterns, and not too expensive either. Which made think that they obviously know some places to get large quantities pretty cheap. Instead of spending a ton on all the gorgeous patterns out there, I was wondering where I can get them cheap so I don't go broke?

try your local thrift shops, goodwill, etc. I've gotten some great 60's patterns for 25 cents. Sometimes estate sales, garage sales in older neighborhoods. The search is part of the fun. Good Luck.

Senior Citizen thrift shops and church rummage sales are the best. I have 100s I've purchased that way. You also find great sewing sewing notions and knitting stuff that way.
If I'm driving by an estate sale, I'll stop, but I don't hunt for them.

I have seen them at charity sales for 25 cents per pattern, and also at a store that sells things from estate sales (although the owner of the store said she doesn't get them regularly--they were a one-time thing).

If you let it known that you're interested in vintage patterns, you may end up with some free from people who have inherited them from relatives --I seem to be getting free sewing machine offers lately myself . . .
I can't make it to thrift store often, but I have a few friends who go weekly and they are on the lookout for me.
