Pattern Description:
Misses' knit button front cardigan, sleeveless top & pull-on pants with knit waistband & ties. This review focuses on the cardigan.

Pattern Sizing:
xs to xl; 6-8, 10-12, 14-16, 18-20, 22-24 Runs true to size in the shoulders but the torso has no shaping and the sleeves seem to be drafted large.

Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
yes, exactly.

Were the instructions easy to follow?
Good instructions though missing some techniques which I added. There were no suggestions to stabilize the shoulder seams and I stitched these, then topstitched the seam after finishing the seam allowances. I staystitched the neckline even though the facings go on in step 3. I put the sleeves in on the flat, before stitching the side seams and sleeves. When topstitching, I did not cross seams and I think that looks more professional.

What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
I like the pattern for the cardigan but after making 2 of them, I think I need to go down a size. The sleeves especially seem too big.

Fabric Used:
heathered light grey sweater knit, probably acrylic

Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
none except for shortening the sleeves 1 inch and the overall length 1 inch.

Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
Yes, I like the pattern, especially the neckline and the shoulders. I think I need to do some fitting in the back and also lengthen the center back while blending to the front length at the side seams.

Conclusion:
Good basic pattern for sporty coordinates.

Using the fusible stay tape is always effective, it prevents rippling when serging & just gives great stability. I agree that it looks a little big, so maybe size down?? The neckline & CF look great!

These came out very nice. On knits I use strips of weft interfacing or a knit tricot to stablize neck, armholes, hems etc It makes sewing them easy serge and stitch and helps the garment lay flat and properly.

Both your cardigans are very nice. This is a great pattern to have.

Very nice cardigans. Thanks for the tip on top-stitching and not crossing seams.

Very helpful review for this and the burgundy one. I have this pattern and have been planning to make the cardigan - didn't even realize there were pants. Your sizing comments are helpful.

Looks really nice, so much you can do with this cardigan. A nice basic

This turned out so nice, marec! How would you change the sleeves? Would you do a slight tapering of the sleeve seams? Or is it in the sleeve cap, where it is too big?

Jenn, it looks big at the back of the sleeve cap and also below the elbow. Tapering below the elbow would be easy, and looking critically at the back view, I think if I reduce the shoulder width that would eliminate some of the extra in back. Yeah??
